Master Data Analyst (partner data)

Details: The Master Data Analyst will support the Global Services and Operations (GSO) organization's business ownership accountability for MGI partner data. This role is responsible for the development and execution of data management practices for partner data. Supports the development of data governance principles, practices and standards while acting as the lead data steward within MoneyGram for partner data. Responsible for obtaining partner data by developing queries necessary to respond to requests from stakeholders both inside and outside of GSO. A specific focus on data quality will be required and will include analyzing data to define, monitor and improve data quality concernsAccountable for all metadata management activities for partner data including building business glossaries and collaborating with business stakeholders across the global organization to drive clear and consistent definitions for the partner information MoneyGram collectsActs as the business owner for several of MoneyGram's partner and point of sale systems and will liaise with colleagues in the IT functions to drive toward a single source of truth for the data GSO is accountable forCollaborats with resources involved in building data warehousing and business intelligence capabilities within MoneyGramDefines information security and privacy requirements for partner data.Education: BA/BS or equivalent related experience (required)Masters degree in business or related information technology competency (preferred)Years of Experience: 7+ years of increasing responsibility as data Analyst or related experience with particular focus on enterprise information management/data management functions. Previous experience implementing Oracle or other EBusiness Suite; ability to apply experience and best practices with Oracle or other ERP EBusiness Suite into optimal business solutions (preferred)Advanced technical and PC skills including SQL plus, PL/SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Project.In depth working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, USA Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control and global anti-money laundering regulations (Preferred)Strong leadership skills, including a track record of leading data management or application development projects, and translating broad requirements into specific objectives, requirements and action plans.Demonstrated ability to drive execution, integrating efforts across business functions.Demonstrated ability to break down and analyze multi-dimensional business and technical issues. Experience in integrating information from a variety of resources, formats and systems. Proven history of employing sound business judgement, creativity and innovation in problem solving and advanced decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and on-going dialogue with colleagues at all levels and to understand and support MoneyGram's business strategies.Proven change agent. Track record of championing new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own job, stimulating others to make changes and improvements.Strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done; ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
