Details: SumTotal Systems, the leading provider of Strategic Human Capital Management solutions, is seeking a Compensation Management-focused Product Manager to join our team in designing cutting edge Compensation Management applications within one of the fastest growing software markets. Key initiatives would be to assist in development of market requirements, determing customer and prospect requirements, documenting use cases and developing functional specifications, working closely with a distributed engineering team, reviewing design specifications and quality assurance plans, communicating new releases to external teams. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of success in designing, implementing and managing compensation systems at organizations of all sizes as either a practitioner or product manager.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and document market requirements and opportunities; develop offering and industry-specific solutions; prioritize market needs and create product direction. Document use case and development functional specifications. Review design specifications, quality assurance plans and demonstration scripts. Communicate marketing strategy to the sales team; develop new sales strategies, presentations, programs, and training; brief field sales on product and launch strategies. Identify new business requirements through analyzing market data, customer requirements, competitive offerings, and overall industry direction. Update product plan for positioning, pricing, revenue forecasting and go-to-market strategy; position new releases. Work closely with development team to create product roadmap and development timelines. This job may require up to 25% domestic travel
